To move a Unix computer from a site to another is a particularly critical business issue that occurs quite often. Actually it requires the involvement of different local and external features which have to be carefully coordinated to effectively carry out their task. If the computer has to be moved without stopping its operation for too long, it would be necessary to find a replacement computer, on which the production activities can be temporarily transferred, and then move the main system to the new site, recovering completely its functions.
